The “Just Fits” Factor There is nothing worse than trying to jam a replacement lamp into a socket and realizing it’s a millimeter off. It’s frustrating, and it’s a great way to break something. A 2500W tube hits hard and fast, which is exactly what you need when you’re pushing high-speed cycles. But here is a quick heads-up: check your power supplies. If you put these high-wattage bulbs into an old transformer that can’t handle the load, you’ll burn it out faster than you can say “downtime.” The Tech Inside We use short-wave infrared. Why? Because it punches through the PET preform wall quickly. Plus, the quartz glass is toughened up to handle the constant shock of rapid heating and cooling. Some of our bulbs even have special coatings. They act like a mirror, bouncing the heat back toward the preform instead of letting it bleed out into the oven. It just makes more sense.
