We built this heater to run on 400V and crank out 2500W, with a 300mm halogen tube. The materials that matter
The heart is a quartz halogen tube, chosen because it stays steady at high temps and doesn’t panic when things heat up and cool down. The halogen chemistry keeps the filament clean, which helps the output stay consistent over time and lowers the chances of a burnout. The tube also has a coating to shape the infrared output and keep out dust and other environmental crud. And the R7s connector? It’s straightforward, low-resistance, and quick to wire. Once it’s in, it stays in—even when your setup is vibrating through a production shift.
Where it shines—and what to watch for
This configuration is made for industrial work where space is tight and heat has to show up the moment you flip the switch. It drops right in as a replacement in older gear, and it’s just as happy wired as a desktop heater for lab prototyping or process heating. Here’s the thing, though: 2500W is dense power. It demands good airflow and solid thermal management. Make sure your enclosure and cooling are up to the job, or nearby components can run too hot.
