Introduction
We built this heating lamp to solve one headache: the ridiculous maintenance costs on your Krones Contiform blow-molding line. It’s a straight swap for the original Sidel lamp—same performance, but way friendlier to your operating budget. It handles the heat demands of PET bottle forming without making you reprogram the machine or rewire anything. Just pop it in and get back to work.
Technical Deep-Dive
It runs at 400V and 2500W, because PET preforms need serious, concentrated heat—fast. The 300mm tube length fits the Contiform heating section like it was born there, so the heat profile lines up exactly with what the machine expects. And that 400V setup isn’t just about power. It pulls less current through the wiring, which cuts down on line losses and helps keep the terminals running cooler. Less strain. More stability.
Material & Design
Inside, you’ve got a shortwave halogen element inside a quartz tube. The big payoff: steady, focused infrared heat that warms the preform surface evenly. No hot spots that can lead to weak bottles. The tube has a reflective coating to push more energy onto the preform, so you get better thermal efficiency. And the R7s connector is a standard bi-pin design—plug-and-play, no fuss. It locks in tight and can handle the machine’s vibration without arcing.
Application & Benefits
On the floor, this means one less variable to stress over. The lamp drops straight into the Contiform with zero changes to the machine setup, so your operators can swap it out in minutes. The high power density shortens the heating window, so cycle times stay consistent. But here’s the part that matters: 2500W needs clean cooling. If the machine’s cooling system is clogged, the lamp runs hotter, and that shortens its life. Keep the cooling path clear, and you get dependable heat with downtime that’s predictable and manageable.
